you're looking at the wrong poll

the poll you should be looking at is what percentage of liberal donors support it  ... that figure should be well into the 90 percentile range

Unlikely. If we assume 35% Liberal voters (excluding other Coalition parties) in a poll and 3% of all voters support the proposition, the maximum percentage of Liberal voters that could support the proposition is 100/35 × 3%, or about 8% to 9% total.

The key word was lib donors - not lib voters.  Lib party first serves themselves, then donors and their voters last.  Any benefit to rest of us is incidental.

Wouldn't be good if no one paid any tax. Think what the country would be like no roads, no public transport, no public schools or hospital, the place would be lawless and a mess.

So shut up about paying taxes and just thank those tax payers that paid taxes before you come along and provided the infrastructure and services that you are using today. But you don't want to leave any  infrastructure or services  to future generation.
