I paid a lot of taxes in my 45 years o working life and don't consider the part-age-pension as a handout, but what of the generosity of the tax-free super for the over sixties introduced in 2007 by Costello and Howard, and there was no objection by the ALP, Greens or Independetns.

No-one should pay a cent more to the government than the absolutely have to.

That's absolutely right in my view.

Just take a look at how a Government spends your money and then ask yourself why you should not pay the minimum amount in?

They spend millions on business class flights around the world, they take huge allowances for themselves, they p1ss money away on projects which fail to get off the ground.

I paid the MINIMUM I had to in Australia. I paid into the country in other means, through shopping, transport, everyday goods. But direct tax - nope. I was a low paid employee according to the ATO records and I feel absolutely fine with it.

Socialism - Giving someone else your hard earned money when they have done nothing to earn it.
