I must've got confused after she recorded no conviction for a DD after Brandis told the courts after her blemish free driving record , happens all the time   Sad , political reporter , wow , can't wait to see what she has to offer  Undecided , I am somewhat sympathetic to her plight , polishing that turd was the most impossible of missions,   Grin Grin Grin

No, she drove while her blood alcohol concentration was well over the legal limit.  She walked out of Court scotfree.  No conviction, no fine, no suspension of driver's licence.  What happened to the Rule of Law in that case cods ~ you know the one about "we are all equal before the Law?"

She blew 0.075, which is very low.

In fact it's under the drink drive limit in the state of California for example.

Certainly not a big deal for me and I think a non conviction was sensible.

It is more than 50% over the legal limit for every State in Australia.  That is the Law whether you like or not.  How did she get to walk away totally unscathed?  I have the same if not better public record than she does, many people would ~ but in Queensland, I would have been convicted, fined and my licence suspended.

No-one gets to put their feet on the seats Mr Hicks, not even you.

Rule of Law.  Look it up, Mr Hicks.

I know someone who had only 2 pots of beer & was exactly 0.05.
It was his first offence.

The magistrate showed no mercy -
& the guy lost his license for 6 months & had a big fine.
He had to go through all sorts of courses & rigmarole to get his license back.

The law is not fair.
