It's not hard to see his appeal the general public - he represents change to a society in malaise. He's not just 'another politician'.

All he does is represent change.

Its possible someone will take a shot at him. But it will not be necessary, because he is likely to shoot himself in the foot at any moment.

Let's just say he was lucky enough to get elected. I think we would see some rapid back-pedaling, as Saud family money is brought to bear. They will also call in favours from their business associates in the Republican Party like Bush and Cheney.

O what a tangled web we weave ...

If Trump doesn't get in, he will even so have demonstrated there is a great divide between what the professional politicians have on their agenda as against the wishes and sentiments of the lay public.

Trump is the harbinger of a radical change that is slowly taking place in the political scene of most Western countries. People want to hear commonsense and realism in their politicians - not scripted speeches that are full of PC bullshit and that hardly ever touch upon what poll after poll reveals to be the real issues that concern the public.
