Well, yes, ripping off members of a union is something that a Labor politician would be more likely to do, if only because it is unlikely that MPs of other persuasions would have the necessary connections to the union movement. But what about Damien Mantach, the former Victorian Liberal Party director, who ripped off $1.5 million in party funds and helped himself to public funds through fraudulent charges in regard to parliamentary mail allowances? And there was the LNP and the Vanguard Health saga. And I think there are going to be some interesting things yet to be revealed about Clive Palmer and why his companies went under, taking their workers with them.

he was an MP......as far as I know ethics doesnt take sides…
As I said before, I don't think anyone here is trying to defend what Thomson did.

If, by doing so, he set a precedent that led the Liberals to dump Abbot, then we should be thankful to him for that.
