Shorten has already stated his position on the boats , you will have to find another straw to clutch at dopey  Cheesy

Rudd said he would stop the boats. So did Gillard. We're still getting rid of the 50,000 they had come on their watch, so you'll excuse us if we don't take seriously anything Labor says on this issue.

Exactly. And we're still importing the 12,000 Mr Abbott brought in from Syria.

STOP THE BOATS.

They're genuine refugees who will be part of an orderly migration program. The 50,000 that Labor welcomed with their incompetence were not part of an orderly program.

Oh, somehow I think you'll need a better reason than that to scare people off voting Labor, Armchair.

There are plenty of good reasons. Why bother with this?

Even though the decision to take 12000 was taken in November, 2015, so far, only 29 have arrived.  Disgraceful.

Under-promise and over-deliver, that's Mr Abbott's motto. As Armchair said, it's an orderly process.

Look at Canada - chaos. They've already taken in over ten thousand.
