No Howard Minister visited the mine when those two miners were trapped. Shorten was there.

Shorten is releasing policy, the government isn’t.

Shorten will do me.

A lot of people were and are disparaging about Treasurer Swan yet he oversaw a $180Bn fiscal consolidation.

Shorten will do me as PM until and unless he proves otherwise.

Turnbull will not lose the next election - but if he did, Abbott would be able to be Lazarus with a Quadruple Bypass/Lung transplant, MARK II. He could be opposition leader again, demolish his third Labor PM and then reign for 30 years......

Turnbull and the Libs’ star is sinking and has months of thinking to do up to July or more likely Sep-Oct. The govt is using a small target strategy!

There is every chance Turnbul will lose the next election. If he does abbott even if appointed LOTO won’t be able to turn things around. The Libs have developed no policies to speak off, except for austerity which is the wrong setting for now. Abbott would make it 12 years with no policy development—the Libs would disintegrate.

The worst thing the Libs did to themselves was to assassinate their leader Tony Abbott.

You may not have liked him but there is no mistake he was a leader, Malcolm Turnbull isn't.

Is the impossible going to happen, is little Bill Shorten, shortening in the odds?

He is not a Leader's boot strap..Lord help us all!

Pull out all their goodies.

Blind faith in a failing Party.

The wrong economic policies—neoconservatism and austerity, neither right, austerity is wrong for right now.

No policies developed over 8 years. A Leader with no guts, no spine, no policies, bound to the ultraright of the Lib & Nat Party not popular with 99% of the population. But this bunch of visionless hacks are going to pul out all their goodies, oh jeeesusss!

Quote:
Turning and turning in the widening gyre
The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
The best lack all conviction, while the worst
Are full of passionate intensity.

the most astonishing thing for me is just how gullible the rightards are

they were told Abbott would never make a good PM, but nooooooo, they wouldn't listen

they were told the libs 'policies' (for lack of a better word) before the election didn't add up, but noooooooooooo they wouldn't listen

they were told the libs had no direction, but nooooooooooo they wouldn't listen.

they were told the libs would not be able to keep it's promises, but nooooooooooo, they wouldn't listen

they were told the liberal version of the NBN was crap, but nooooooooo they wouldn't listen

it was obvious to everyone with at least half a brain that the libs were a joke and the id iots still voted for them. Rightards are like 2 year olds having a tantrum because they dropped their lollipop... reasoning and logic just doesn't work with them. Sure, labor had its problems with it's personalities, but they were at least doing a pretty good job of running the country.

This whole Right v Left is just nonsensical.

People do (and should) vote based on their own principles.

1. Whats good for their family.
2. What is good for their job prospects and career stability.
3. What is good for their taxation
4. What is good for their superannuation.
5. What is good for law and order in their community
6. What is good for the country's border and security (eg keep out people we don't want)
7. What is good for their own children's education
8. Good for their healthcare and personal/family well being

Often when I look at all those things and I weigh it up, in Australia it has historically been the Liberal Party and in the UK it has been the Conservatives which have provided to me the best options on all of those things.

I don't go in for fads of the common good and the like. It's all airey fairy stuff.
Look after yourself and your family. THAT is what you should vote on.
