Absolutely correct.
If it wasn't for the greenhouse effect our planet would be too cold to live on.
Well we agree on something.
Quote:But we are talking about global WARMING. Water vapour doesn't accumulate in the atmosphere (it falls out as rain and snow) so it won't cause the earth to get any warmer.
Oh it doesn't hey, have you ever seen a picture of the Earth from space, its always covered with clouds.
Quote:CO2 on the other hand DOES accumulate in the atmosphere, so it will gradually cause warming. Sure, CO2 is a trace gas, and that is why this warming is happening gradually over decades.
CO2 has a life span of about 5 years or so, I see the wool can be pulled over your eyes very easily, you seem to accept any dribble that comes from the IPCC.

Mt argument is flawed or you believe anything...???
Quote:CO2 can remain in the atmosphere for thousands of years
BS.
Look into our history numnuts, that's the quickest way to dispel your worries about CO2.
Quote:Between 65% and 80% of CO2 released into the air dissolves into the ocean over a period of 20–200 years. The rest is removed by slower processes that take up to several hundreds of thousands of years, including chemical weathering and rock formation. This means that once in the atmosphere, carbon dioxide can continue to affect climate for thousands of years.
More like about 5 years and there is nothing wrong with what we're doing.
We are just converting CO2 from one phase to another from the whole.
Its not as though we are introducing more CO2 from mars or the moon, we are just modifying what already exists on the Earth as a whole.
Quote:H2O remains in the atmosphere for only hours or days
But while it does rain elsewhere new clouds and water vapour are being formed.
Water vapour is about 4% of the atmosphere.
CO2 is about 0.04% of the atmosphere.
That's a big difference if you can add.
Quote:Water vapour is a very effective absorber of heat energy in the air, but it does not accumulate in the atmosphere in the same way as the other greenhouse gases. This is down to it having a very short atmospheric lifetime, of the order of hours to days, because it is rapidly removed as rain and snow.
CO2 doesn't stay in our atmosphere for thousands of years like the IPCC claim and you being the good person that you are believe them
