Kill ants by sprinkling cornmeal on their path.  You can also use popping corn.  Grind it in a blender then sprinkle mounds on the ants' path.  Toxin free.

"It’s brilliant how little work this takes. The next oven cleaning can gladly come.

Simply mix baking powder with water and a splash of vinegar until it forms a paste, and apply to the oven. The mixture remaining in the bowl can be place directly into the oven. Then clean the oven afterwards
."

Just remembered. Ants apparently don't like cucumber. So, the advice is to leave cucumber skins where you think they're coming from. Yet to try it as ants haven't, touch wood (taps forehead), been a problem. Yet.

Vinegar is an excellent cleaner.
I use it with water for the floors or shower cubicle.

No chemicals, no problems.

Handy household tip

When The Jehovah's Witnesses come knocking.

Explain to them that you were once a JW but lost your fellowship.

There is a good chance they will run off screaming with their hands over their ears.

Then they may well avoid your house.

My mother invited them in and told  them her life story, starting age 0- they couldn't get out fast enough, the word spread because they never came back.

they have a trick where they try to find something you hold dear when you open the door and use that as a way to get your approval. My friend had two dogs which they immediately upon opening the door pretended to drool over. When they asked him the dogs names, he answered 'Lucifer' and 'Satin'

they couldn't get out of there fast enough and skipped his place whenever they came a calling again Grin

Apparently if you lose your fellowship, the elders dont want any of the others talking to you in case you corrupt them.

This includes family members

I had a JoHo once put her foot in the doorway to stop me from closing it politely.  Sister Mary she called herself.

I rapidly lost my polite demeanour.
