The one place homophobia hasn't been tackled yet is in schools. Young males are very homophobic. Institutions, workplaces, the corporate world, film and TV, the law - all have reformed homophobic attitudes and practices. Boys, to a large extent, haven't.

I'm not sure whether education can fix this, but if schools don't try, they're not addressing a major social shift in attitudes towards homosexuals. Bullying is toxic. It stays with kids for life. Gay kids continue to commit suicide at a huge rate - even kids who've merely been accused of being gay.

Realistically, the only place this can be addressed is schools. We've done it everywhere else - why not school?

isnt the number 1 goody two shoes lefty gweggarry Peccarry ALWAYS accusing Sir Bobby of being gay?
Surely a lefty , operating from high consciousness would not be bullying as you seem to be implying here Karmal

Are you suggesting that there's something wrong with Sir Booby, just because he's gay?

Why would you say such a thing - are you a homophobe?

Ee-gad, no. Aqua believes in self actualisation. If you’re a dirty hommer, you need to read the Seven Highly Effective Habits for Highly Effective People by Wayne Dwyer.

A number of inverts have been cured after reading this.

Karnal is holding down at least 5 jobs.

Any more lies you'd like to tell us while you're in the mood?

Two jobs, big boy. Still teaching kung dam you, or have you decided to re-invent the stick?

Been here two hundred years...

Kung dam you, eh?

Hmm what an interesting edit.

From working with cops to teaching Kung fu - it's like someone corrected you - but who?

The funny part is both of you are wrong.

Who would oppose programs to address gay bullying?
You and Greggary? Since you both practise it here. Inappropriate reference to anothers sexuality is considered bullying, they didnt teach you that at the schools you worked at? Were you the janitor?

Pretending, eh?.No worries, Honky.. You’re really quite sensitive, aren’t you, dear?

What are you trying to hide? Teaching cops? Or teaching kids how to kill with their bare hands?

I've taught many people many things, but I'm afraid the police force and kung fu are not among them.

What did you teach?

The Queen’s English, dear.

Shame on you for spelling your tireless volunteer work teaching hundreds of kids how to fight wrong.

We teach skills in that, you know. I could even teach you the Chinese if FD didn’t censor it.

steven covey wrote that one K.

one of the 7 habits involves self analysis of our own narcissism .'

and has there ever been a more narcissistic cohort of people then the gays?
It almost seems the lifestyle itself is born out of an intense auto erotic narcissistic personality disorder.
certainly the main way to break free of our own self involvement is to have children and then spend 25 years putting their needs first.
the gay person (maybe at a subconscious level) would see this as a threat to this life of pleasure and self indulgence.

certainly in the way that gays deal with the rest of society, there is only a "me, me, me" attitude.

Coveys great maxim

Seek first to understand , before you ask to be understood.

Do gays seek to understand non-gays?

I dont think they've ever stepped out of their self indulgent mind set in their lives.

They should make Coveys book a study book at school.
In fact they do!!!!.
the qld curicullum has incorporated the 7 habits into year 10 social studies.
Well done.

I believe you, Aquascoot.

If the army can address gay bullying, why can't schools?

They could even use the Seven Highly Effective Habits as a rubric.
