Its a very nuanced point .
the mainstream needs a mainstream narrative,
the mainstream cant have guys going around like stallions trying to kill each other for the women.
the media, the mainstream, hollywood and the capitalist marketers sell a narrative and most people (being chodes) buy it.
is this what really creates attraction though??
The mainstream says to guys , get a good job, be nice, buy the girl a drink, say nice things, focus on the girl.(all these things scream low status by the way)
Romantic comedies tell the same narrative, the dorky beta male gets the girl in the end.
the little short ugly guy in Hitch who gets the hollywood princess thanks to super match maker Will Smith.
in real life , she would have taken out a restraining order on the poor guy.
the truth though at a biological level is that a woman is "shopping around for the best survival of her DNA"
a beta male, a whimpy guy with no confidence is not likely to produce offspring that are going to be "champs"
so women are attracted to sports stars, rock stars, (remember a rock star has to be super confident to stand up and sing well in public). women are attracted to "confidence" above all else.
now they may "marry" the " provider male" and thats what marriage is....a consolation prize for beta males.
BUT, how many jokes are there out there about beta males with women who wear the pants and who dont give them any attention in the bedroom??
The woman would rather marry the rock star or the sports star, but he is still getting the attention from the young hot women.
Then what happens (its so predictable)...once the kids are raised and the provider male has been putz shamed, he is cast aside and the 45 yo woman now finds herself back on
"cougars.com" looking for the young . super confident , edgey guy

.
the narrative works for society...provider males and angry frustrated women ,at least, raise the next generation.
But the dysfunction, the broken relationships, the unhappy people who stay together because of inertia....this is all due to the underlying biology.
You cant fight mother nature.
