You won't find the benefits of Chlorine in a SDS either.  You will find the hazards, because that's what you generally find in a SDS (previously known as an MSDS).

Chlorine has hazards, but compared to drinking water which contains pathogens, the hazards are relatively minor. OK, places where they don't chlorinate water have fewer cases of colon cancer, but then people have a much shorter life expectancy in such places.

Fluoride at low concentrations has even fewer hazards than chlorine, but if you remove it from drinking water, it will lead to higher prevalence of  tooth decay, which translates to more serious issues such as sepsis, brain damage and quite a few deaths if you take it over a large enough population base.

It's always a question of balancing risks.  It's similar to the anti-vaccination advocates.  Sure, there are always some risks, but the balance of risk is overwhelmingly in the favour of vaccination.

An MSDS doesn't list benefits.

That's not their purpose.

In our usual abode, we are on tank water, always have been, but when we go up to Qld, I don't even put tap water in the kettle to have a cuppa, I buy flasks or bottles of water, and use that instead.

Same goes with my hair, it's so damned sensitive, if I wash it in the shower with that fluoride water, it goes haywire!

When I come back home, and use my rain water, it goes calmer.

So that's one thing I find with tap water that effects my hair, and the taste of my cuppa!

Remember them old days, they used to say "A little poison doesn't hurt?"
