Yeah, but I can make a kebab without importing a teacher. How did Russia get the bomb?

But the kebab will never be as good without the masters making it. And hence the kebab shop would never sell kebabs. And thus no more benefit to the economy.

But not every Leb is a master. Wink

but you need waiters, cash register workers, dish cleaners, etc.

I volunteer to to that 3 days a week. I don't need to be a Leb to do it.

Have Muslim immigrants ANYWHERE in the non-Muslim wold boosted the economy, ever?

Australia
US
UK
India
Canada
New Zealand

Perhaps we can do a cost/benefit analysis.

I'd be happy to see one. Perhaps it will put Soren's mind at ease?

Come on people! The very fact that the kebab has become the staple drunken food in Australia is enough of a cost benefit analysis to show that there is a net benefit of migration. Wink

Since when do you need Muslims to make kebab?  You can look up any recipe in a cook book or on the internet.

Typically, the only 'benefit' you guys can ever think of is a dish. Anything else??

What the West needs is free thinkers, not people who blindly follow superstition, tribalism, and pay tribute to ancient scripture just because their people did.

Just anecdotal, but I've had cause to visit many doctors over the last few years, and there seems to be an overrepresentation of muslim doctors - or at least doctors with muslim names. I'd be interested to see some figures on how much our health system is reliant on importing doctors from places like India and Pakistan.

I'd not be at all surprised to see that the numbers are indicative of many of the kind you refer to.  Luckily, I'm in pretty good health, but whenever I have gone to the local Bulk Billing Mob.....almost invariably, I am seen by an overseas trained quack, not necessarily Indian or Pakistani but certainly including them.

You live in a ghetto, pal.

I would not accept treatment from an Indian or Arab or Asian doctor UNLESS they were trained in Australia, UK, Canada, US, NZ or Europe west of the Danube.

Muslim, Chinese, Indians, Asians etc -  I would not consult them unless they have been practicing in Australia for decades.

Rule of thumb - if they have an Aussie or UK accent = OK. Efnik accent =  no, thanks.

What makes you think they would accept you as a patient?

- Almost three-quarters (74% or 53,843) of working doctors obtained their first qualification in Australia in 2009, compared with 47,930 (or 77% of working doctors) in 2006;
-  In both 2006 and 2009, 3% of working doctors obtained their first qualification in New Zealand (1,639 in 2006 and 2,112 in 2009);
-  6% of working doctors obtained their first qualification in the UK/Ireland in both 2006 and 2009; and
- 14% (8,812) of working doctors obtained their first qualification in other countries in 2006, compared with 16% (11,948) in 2009, a rise of 3,136 between the two periods. This was the second highest increase, behind those that first qualified in Australia.

You have demonstrated that Australia's health system would collapse without foreign doctors.

You are EVEN more stupid than we expected.

Australia has about a third more doctors per 1000 population then UK, Ireland, US, and a half more than Korea or Japan.

And they are not collapsing, ya stupid bloody ape.

In your case it would be bevies of phrenologists and psychiatrists. In other cases, closet poms need more medical attention than real Australians.
