Well, Well, Well, Look at what happens when we go out for dinner?
Come back, just now & find out that I've missed out on "some" fun!
Great! Is it okay that Members may refer to another Member as 'retarded' or a 'retard?'
So, you think that word is not appropriate?
Would you want to see that word added onto the Spell Checker?
Oh & I see AiA disagrees with your comments about Ignoring the Lady, so who is telling the truth???

Pronunciation: /ˈriːtɑːd/
informal, offensive Back to top
A person who has a mental disability (often used as a general term of abuse).
So, there you go, quite a few dictionaries highlight and OFFENSIVE use of the word - of course, the word itself is not offensive, just some people deliberately choose to use retard in an offensive manner...
Therefore, if the word itself is not offensive, it doesn't really need to be "filtered" as such - however, given using it offensively would constitute both personal criticism and personal abuse it seems pretty clear cut what would be appropriate...
It is a curious thing to let disdain for Aussie cloud otherwise what has appeared to be good judgement.
Given, it's frequent use in derogatory terms I suppose it might be respectful to people living with a disability or mental delay to filter the word.
