I'm sure Perceptions can handle a few digs. They weren't that bad. I have no problem with him - in fact I initially recommended him to FD as a Global Mod. I wouldn't blame the mods for blocking some of the members though. They must get fed up with the avalanche of petty complaints.

I disagree......he gets rid of people from relationships simply because they wont do as he demands....and who comes on here to be TOLD what they can do and say...its pathetic...

but anyway.... I dont particularly care....its just more of the same all the time...

I disagree. Who are "they"?

I rarely, if ever, comment about PA or aussie and never post in Relationships. It's not an 'us' vs 'them' thing and some PA members have probably been here longer than you.

Some people have far too much time on their hands. Swearing at another poster, or calling them an (expletive) is clearly unacceptable, but being human, different mods tend to apply slightly different standards based on what they deem to be unacceptable. Everybody has a slightly different tolerance and apply judgement in a slightly different way. What I don't see (and it's a healthy sign) is any mod undermining another mod. They tend to back up each other (publicly), regardless of whether they have a slightly different individual interpretation. That is how it should be. We don't need bickering busybodies interfering and trying to cause conflict between mods, and from what I have seen, the mods here have a lot of solidarity between them.

Be thankful for that at least.

They don't get paid, so chill out and give them some encouragement. If there are revenues involved in a site such as this, I'd be totally astonished. My experience (with a busier site) was that you'd be lucky to get enough to buy a coffee from monthly advertising revenues.

As for getting fed up with the avalanche of petty complaints?
I spent over 40 years in the financial sector, with the last 20 years or so in management.
Anyway, I learned a few things along the way -
1) To get my own take on issues & not rely exclusively on what I was told. And that was why I concluded in late 2006, that the GFC was coming, even though most "paid exspurts" came to another conclusion, as is now happening again.
2) Once I came to my own conclusions, I would then pursue those conclusions, whether others liked it or not, unless things changed and it became apparent I was wrong.
And, there were & probably will be again, things that I get wrong, But "honestly", if I'm wrong, I will generally "own up", whereas others may do everything But.
And then there are Politicians, who just see "Porkies" as part of their job description and the same goes for those would be "aspiring Politicians"!

BO is right Cods - quite a few of the PA members were members here long before they joined PA and years before the Yahoos arrived. From what I've seen - they post in a variety of threads here. They are not the enemy, but just ordinary people like everyone else here. Don't listen to the negativity spruiked by a few people - judge them on their individual merits.

I had dealings with you when I started posting here. Apparently 'someone' wanted me banned because they thought I was someone else. They were wrong, of course, but I found you to be fair and reasonable in our communications about the matter. I think most of the GMods here are the same. Human and all slightly different but also supportive of each other and that is all that we can expect to maintain any semblance of stability here.

Well 'they' in this context was a reference to PAers who come here to troll Aussie, why of course that is what it meant. And the 4 out of 6 posters from PA only come here to troll Aussie-- click on the last 10 posts of any of you and we will find trolling of Aussie there. It is fascinating here so who could blame any of you because you cannot stay away ?- impossible. And I have been here longer than all of you.

I do not "troll" Aussie even though he has stalked me mercilessly in the past. Just recently I received some threatening messages from him - similar to the ones you sent me. After a decade here and never having to block any member - I was forced to block you and Aussie. I'm annoyed with him - so I've had a couple of digs - big deal. I should have reported both of you, but I couldn't be bothered.

Since I joined here - I have posted consistently, as have many other members, while you disappeared for years at a time so don't pretend that you are the only reason this forum has thrived. It has been a group effort by a lot of people.
