I wonder. They're certainly rife in some regions, but not in others. Central and South East Asia have very different cultures - and statistics.

In many places, of course, statistics are no use. Who's going to report a rape in Pakistan?

Who's going to report a rape in India? Pakistan and India have very similar attitudes towards women, despite having two very different majority religions.

Nobody if a woman needs 4 male witnesses to prove she has been raped, Alicia Gali was jailed for reporting rape in the UAE because she didn't have 4 male witnesses.

The bearded nutjobs even say DNA evidence cannot be used to prove rape they need 4 men to testify.
