it is true to a certain extent... a lot has to do with popularity as well..... remember Russell Crowe.he lost out because of his big mouth...

one actress always leaves me cold Cate Blanchett whatever she does looks the same to me...yet she wins..

we have to take it tongue in cheek I reckon....if you aint popular ask Steven Spielberg I know a different category but same judges..

is only acting after all.....and cant we all do that?

Every year there's some sort of controversy a week or two before the Oscars.

It generates interest in the broadcast, more people watch it and, subsequently, more people go to the films that win the awards.

All fake, all advertising, all Hollywood.

Imagine if a bunch of whities got up and said- The all black NBL. Or the all black Grammies. Or there's too many blackie Oscar nominations and they don't deserve it. Careers would end over it and the do-gooders on here would go ballistic. Racial double standards at work again. You can say anything about whitie this day and age but you shut your mouth whities.
