Ah... the Jovial Exaggerator!  All economic indicators are actually better now than in September 2013. UNemployment is the same but trending down rather than trending up. GDP growth remains strong if not particularly high. The deficit is actually coming down, no thanks the Labor putting off payments into Abbots first year. The growth in the debt is also slowing down.

All in all, given the difficult global economy and the mining collapse world-wide, things are pretty good.

The Liberals are once again proving they are the better economic managers.

The deficit is actually coming down

It isn't coming down.

The MYEFO is saying that the deficit blew out by an additional $2.3 Billion above the May budget projected figure to $37.4 Billion 15/16.

Thing is, spending is out of control, austerity is being applied, debt is zooming as are deficits.

So, borrowing to stimulate more difficult and expensive. Interest rates neutered as an economic lever.

The low dollar is seeing more spending on tourism, internal tourism and tourists coming into Australia. What a thing to base an economy on.

If the Quisling Libs had kept rolling out FTTH, had kept the ramp up going we could be offering all sorts of services to the Asian region but they killed that too, along with Holden and Toyota.

We better hope the twits like Morriscum and the Belgian Fool copy Rudd/Swan. But likely they won’t and we will enter a recession, we could see a bank fall over.

I wonder if the two brain cells that composed this festuring pustule of a post ever speak to each other. If they did, you wouldn't have 'austerity' and 'out-of-control spending' in the same sentence.

...
How ironic of you to attach this image to a post mentioning brain cells when it has spelling mistakes and poor punctuation. Did you do that on purpose?

I am surprised you spotted the irony. Such subtlety is normally beyond you. Anger usually blinds you to things lile that.

I seem to recall hockey explaining his budget and economic performance is better via using comparisons with a hypothetical "lab" budget.  That is not a sigh of better performance.  You know Maria has been caught out when a general "better
In everything" type statement is used.

Funny how "did better given difficult global economy..." etc argument was used.  Was it more difficult than the GFC?

In any case same set of data, 2 different  interpretations.  The only important one to the lib supporters is : was it lab or lib govt then?

https://delimiter.com.au/2016/01/24/govt-censors-nbn-cos-fttp-projection-data/

The Federal Government has taken steps to stop the public getting access to a key data set which details why the NBN company believes a full-Fibre to the Premises rollout would cost up to $38 billion more and take eight years longer to finalise than its currrent controversial Multi-Technology Mix plan.

They won't even release their own findings - not hard to work out why though.
