Agreed Emma ... but i suspect he'll be let off with a good behaviour bond.
I'm left wondering if there isn't some mental illness at play here. It really is quite brazen behaviour.
I need to know more before i get out the pitchfork but my primary concern is with the girls and women assaulted. I hope they are and seek counselling should they require it.
The thing that is often brushed over in situations like this is the preexisting mind-set of the girls and women abused. Not all girls and women are able to brush off something like this. What if they have been abused previously (a not inconceivable variable, given the statistics on sexual assault). Real damage can be done by such actions.
There is no doubt about that Mothra. It is not something that can be generalised. Girls are people, people are complex, and young people are even more so.
I hope that we ( our society.. ie law and due process etc) deal with this as best we can. If this matter isn't resolved appropriately, but instead proceeds under wraps ie.. hush hush hush hush no news no follow-up no real action... the harm can be irreversible.
Not just to these girls and their families, but across the spectrum of our society.
Now is the time and this is A place, where our future faces us.What do we want in OUR society.?

geebus Emma, you make it sound like churchill speaking during the blitz.
i disagree with your solution.
these girls did need to see that our society (ie the 100 or so males who were no doubt present at surfers paradise) will stand up for our women folk.
Creeper should have been dragged from the surf by our menfolk and then the girls called over and they could have been like the cheerleaders at a footy match whilst creeper was given a jolly good hiding.
as he lay bloodied on the sand, they could have each come and perhaps spat on him, kicked him in the genitals or given him a golden shower (no, creeper would probably like that)
Then they would have gone home in an "empowered " state. i consider it shameful he was allowed to leave the beach unscathed.
How very beta of the men present
