Six Africans Almost Bash Aussie Boy To Death

Man, 21, attacked by about six men of African appearance at Glenelg during New Year’s Day celebrations
January 5, 2016 5:04pm
DETECTIVES need help to identify a gang of thugs who bashed a man and inflicted serious injuries at Glenelg early on New Year’s Day.

The victim, 19, received medical treatment shortly after the bashing but his condition later worsened and he has been admitted to Flinders Medical Centre, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.

Police said a group of up to six men of African appearance attacked the victim about 2am, after they had an altercation with the same man near Hope St and Colley Tce earlier that night.

“The victim describes the men as of African appearance and aged in their late teens to early 20s,’’ a police spokesman said. “Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault and for information that may assist with the investigation.’’
