“The victim describes the men as of African appearance and aged in their late teens to early 20s,’’ a police spokesman said. “Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault and for information that may assist with the investigation.’’

He's right to some extent.

The level of reporting for a group of white people bashing a black person - compared to that of gang of blacks bashing a white person is disproportionate.

Little is made of the fact black people are 8 times over represented in prison populations and guilty of crimes than other colours of people.

You can't blame social housing and society for that.

One reason for me is to be found in an essay written by Trevor Phillips - the former Head of the Commission for Racial Equality - called "The Missing Black Father".
Many young black kids have grown up with no dad because of the promiscuity of young black men and because of a failure of black communities to address this issue - and a tendency to just blame the police or 'white society' - we have a violent, crime ridden black youth finding themselves in jail vastly over represented in number.

Let's not be silly LTYC. It says they bashed him, not almost bashed him. The almost was about death. On the other hand I doubt if any of them are Moslems, most Sudanese here are Christian, sponsored out by Christians. Why would at least one be Muslim? Why would the Moslem hang out in a Christian gang?
