Will El Chapo be extradited to USA
Jan 10th, 2016 at 8:12am

This ongoing farce in Mexico is really amusing.

How long before he is busted out of gaol again?

My advice is Señor El Presidente extradite him asap!

MEXICO CITY — After long resisting requests from Washington, the Mexican government is now actively considering extraditing Joaquín Guzmán Loera, the Mexican drug lord known as El Chapo, to the United States to face drug and murder charges there, Mexican officials said on Saturday.

The officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because the government had not formally announced the decision, said the process could take months as it goes through the judicial system. Mr. Guzmán’s lawyers are expected to fight extradition to the United States, where he faces at least seven indictments in federal courts on charges of drug trafficking and murder.

A spokesman for President Enrique Peña Nieto declined to comment and, given the controversial nature of extradition within Mexico, it remained possible that the government would stick to its longstanding refusal to send Mr. Guzman to the United States until he first serves time in Mexico.

Joaquín Guzmán Loera, the drug kingpin known as El Chapo, was made to face the press as he was escorted to a helicopter in handcuffs by Mexican soldiers and marines at a federal hangar in Mexico City on Friday.

Mr. Guzmán, who escaped from prison last year, was captured on Friday after a gun battle near the coast in his home state, Sinaloa. His capture was the culmination of a monthslong manhunt in the mountains of the so-called Golden Triangle, a rugged area in the northwest of the country. After an intense gunfight in the coastal city of Los Mochis, Mr. Guzmán was captured attempting to flee in a vehicle with one of his top lieutenants.

Actually I could not get over his last escape,

a tunnel about a mile long (?) built to come up under his cell with a motorbike on rails to escape down the tunnel.

That would make a great movie

They can't even lodge the paperwork to extradite him

He's even bribed the person filling out the extradition form

His offer are as follows

Option 1
You are earning $100/month. Here's $300K in cash to look another way

Option 2
I will kill your family if you don't take the money

So?  He's a Mexican, committed some crimes there and they are dealing with it under Mexican law and facilities.

I hope he gets away again.  Much more interesting if he bribes his way out.

In the US they have this corrupt scheme far more advanced.  Big business bribes the politicians and law makers, and threaten to unseat them next election is they do not cooperate.

Then after they put people in prison for selling drugs they should have bought from Big Pharma,  other companies make money out of housing them!  What a racket!
