You're telling the story.

You can't even tolerate the half-baked conservatives in Australia, so why would you tolerate ultra conservatives from the Middle East or Africa?

? I tolerate you Mistie.

So you believe in the constitution and yet you want to defy it by banning all muslims? How does that work?

BTW - what happens if a current Australian converts to being a muslim, do they lose their citizenship automatically?

Defying what part of the constitution?

Quote:
COMMONWEALTH OF AUSTRALIA CONSTITUTION ACT - SECT 51

Legislative powers of the Parliament [see Notes 10 and 11]
                   The Parliament shall, subject to this Constitution, have power to make laws for the peace, order, and good government of the Commonwealth with respect to:

(xxvi)  the people of any race , other than the aboriginal race in any State, for whom it is deemed necessary to make special laws;

               (xxvii)  immigration and emigration;

              (xxviii)  the influx of criminals;

                (xxix)  external affairs;

Dunno.

Quote:
The Commonwealth shall not make any law for establishing any religion, or for imposing any religious observance, or for prohibiting the free exercise of any religion, and no religious test shall be required as a qualification for any office or public trust under the Commonwealth.

You don't think this is a value of Australian culture, Mistie? Why are you trying to destroy it? Australia doesn't have an emasculated culture. We won't stand by and watch you try to destroy it.

It's not. It's just India becoming somewhat less backward and and a little less startlingly alien.

To be India, it will always have to be backward and startling.  It will NEVER be Holland.

You can't have 1.5 billion progressive dope smoking, mini-skirt wearing, multi-lingual postmodernists.  It's a niche.

well of course not at this very moment. They still have to worry about getting every household to have access to a toilet.  That's number 1 priority.  Sorry...number 2 priority...number 1 priority is the space program.  Much more important apparently.

I must say, old boy, you've finally baffled me. India is the new Holland?

Excellent work. If your last 15 years of posts here have been repetitive, solipsistic wheezes, this one stands out as a true enigma.

predominately for number 2.  I don't think it's all THAT relevant for number 1. At the end you can stand or squat next to a bush.

Certain religious practices are already outlawed by sections of the law. Anyway, this doesn't stop laws being made in regards to undesirables, as other criteria can be argued under Section 51.

I am not the one p*ssing on its history at every opportunity.

Anyway, stopping undesirables entering is not where the game is. The game is with the leftists - usually white, middle class - activists like yourself who gnaw away at the traditions and customs of the Australian people. A people needs to bond and have confidence in itself. Leftists attempt to turn everyone into self-loathing losers.

Au Contraire, it's the right trying to sway us back to the old aristocracies.
