so for you it's enough to simply agree with your view of the world, there is no need to actual backup an opinion with some justifiable evidence?

It's just interesting seeing things you said years ago finally trickling through to the mainstream.

Just relax mate, it's an article that took 2 minutes out of your life - it's shouldn't comprise the totality of your knowledge on a subject, but you should understand it's a sentiment held by a growing number of people, so you're going to face it sooner or later, whether you like it or not.  To acknowledge it now, is to be prepared for it then.

Yes but my problem is that the sentiment is based on misinformation. And when one tries to explain why it's misinformation, you straight away tell me to simply relax. I don't like the human race being dumbed down by misinformation simply because you feel like sharing in the sentiment. Sorry wes, that's not how we progress in this world.

Misinformation?  GTFO

A difference of opinion to you is not "misinformation".

Your opinion does not hold authority, let alone supreme authority.

Of course it's misinformation. She is trying to make assertions with little to no basis. What else would you call it?

An opinion.

That's why it was in the friggin opinion section of RT.

opinions must still be based on some evidence or basis of fact. You can't just wake up one morning and go, 'I'm gonna tell people masculinity doesn't exist in Europe anymore', offer no reasonable evidence to justify the opinion, and expect reasonable people to take you seriously.  Perhaps that's why it is in the RT?

Some people generate ideas alevine.  Or they combine strands of thought together in ways others haven't before.  They can't decide what they're going to wake up one morning and tell people, if they hadn't already had the thought themselves.

This is where science,  technology and philosophy comes from alevine.

Hate to sound like a broken record, but refer to my earlier deduction:

It all still needs to be based of some kind of evidence or fact.

Unless you are claiming that its her religion to believe men don't have masculinity in Europe? What's this new religion?

No, it does not.

The theory of Relativity was based on an idea.  It later became accepted as fact.

No, it does not.

The theory of Relativity was based on an idea.  It later became accepted as fact.

The idea was based on observed evidence and became fact when the hypothesis around it were proven by empirical evidence.

What is the observed evidence of this commentator that male masculinity is down in Europe? That women were around on NYE to be raped by arabs and not being raped at home by germans?  Is that her observed evidence?

She is immersed in that society, so I expect she pays some attention to her surroundings.

Do you ever notice things about the world around you?

I do in fact. I notice that male masculinity in Europe is far stronger than in India or the Middle East. Smiley
