On a personal level I feel a certain admiration for these country-shopping voortrekkers. There's no doubt the task they have set themselves is heroic and epic in terms of their wildebeest courage and endurance.

For this I salute them, but .......

Europe is NOT an uninhabited terra nullius as Australia was at the time of British settlement. There was nothing here that even remotely resembled intelligent life.

Europe, on the other hand, has several flourishing civilisations that are being damaged by the invasion of hordes of 7th century knuckle-draggers from the living Time Capsule that we know as the 'Middle East'.

Pope Francis the Beneficent is scheduled to wash the feet of refugees on Holy Thursday.

After that he is going to bare his back and invite them to administer 1000 lashes for blasphemy. This will be followed by a tour of the Vatican Palace where His Holiness will join in a celebratory bombing of the building.

Admission is free to refugees.
