and yet only what amounts to a handfull of findings against very few individuals.

Not quite.

'Proposing an overhaul of key parts of the industrial relations system, including the creation of a standalone agency to police unions and employer groups, Mr Heydon also recommended civil and criminal charges against 45 people and companies.'

https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/wa/a/30463996/unions-louts-thugs-and-thieves-r...

So not just individual unionists but companies also. Some "witch-hunt".

In any man's language, 45 is a handfull of small fry ~ given the time, resources and money wasted.   If the cops had been handed that budget, I'm very sure they would have produced a better outcome.

You must keep in mind that all we have at this stage are adverse findings (opinion if you like) made by an administrative tribunal.  They are not convictions, not even charges.  Now, those 45 might be investigated by relevant authorities which may not bother pursuing anybody for all sorts of reasons including priorities and most likely, lack of sufficient evidence to get convictions.

Do you have qualified accounts to confirm the "small fry" status?

You're the one claiming they only caught "small fry". I was wondering how you established that as fact.

In the context of this discussion...yeas.  Squillions spent to catch small fry....and the Feds/Cops could have done it much cheaper.

So these corrupt unionists and companies took "yeas". I'm not familiar with that particular currency or is it a multiple, like millions?

'Two former secretaries of the WA branch of the Transport Workers Union, Rick Burton and Jim McGiveron, were recommendations for action under the Fair Work Act for their role in obtaining two Ford F350s valued at $150,000 each and a redundancy payment of $477,000 given to Mr McGiveron.'

Perhaps not as clear-cut as claimed. But hey, just take a unions word for it; to have uncovered all corruption.

It doesn't seem to work that way for most people though.

So, you are being deliberately obtuse.  Okay, make yourself irrelevant.  No skin off my nose.

The banks are still refusing to cooperate with the authorities after defrauding thousands of customers. Major Australian and foreign companies continue to evade tax with little government reprimand. If Malcolm Turnbull is serious about strengthening trade unions as he said today then he should give working communities more rights in their workplace. He should also support the Road Safety Remuneration Tribunal which is defending owner drivers and transport companies against wealthy retailers which are driving down safety and conditions through their low cost contracts,” he added.   Sad

Banks are regulated by several government authorities

What government authorities are regulating union corruption?

So why are we allowing the union to compare Banks and Union corruptions?

Because Labor/Union believe the voters are m#r0ns
