Wonder why they didn't look into the iceberg instead of organising to attend Liberal party fund raisers ? ?

Perhaps Turnbull should extend the time that the RC is allowed to operate in order to weed out ALL corruption at the TWU? I have a feeling, however, if that were to happen, the RC would be in operation for decades given the systemic level of corruption within the militant TWU and ALL unions.

I think the RC should be extended to become a semi-permanent enquiry until such time as they stop finding endemic corruption, bribery and thuggery.

I dont have a problem with that.  what i do have a problem is how so many absoletely reject any investigation of unions.

....maybe a precedent could be set?

When the union goes on strike and costs business and members of the public both cash and inconvenience the union should be made pay up... Smiley

Evidently not up to speed , we can't strike outside of negotiations.

Not at the moment, anyway.

It would be useful to give casual staff an unrestricted right to strike so as to put downward pressure on casualisation. If employers can withdraw shifts for casuals without reprisal, it's only fair that casuals can also withdraw their labour without reprisal.

Ya know, on any objective assessment, two years, zquillions of dollars, a huge trawl, a very broad brush, and yet only what amounts to a handfull of findings against very few individuals...not much of a pay off or dividend for tax payers.....but then again, all Abbott wanted was the political scalps of Gillard and Shorten whom the Commission exonerated of any wrong doing.

Despite all the hyped up language of Heydon, and despite two years and all that money................he admits he got almost nothing, brushing that aside with the meaningless wafty slur of 'tip of the ice berg.'  Was that because there was no ice berg, huh?  The whole show was all tip and no berg??  Or were you just incompetent Heydon, and could not locate what should be easily found under a tip?  Really?

I reckon there will be few people actually charged, and even fewer, convicted.

There you go again.. not one shred of proof or support in any way - yet your rave on and on, seeking to find a weak spot by hammering away at an absolutely armour-plated position held by me (or anyone else).  You really are one sick puppy, and your constant repetition of the same nonsense makes not one iota of difference to the truth.

It is YOU who are delusional... but keep trying.  Roll Eyes

When will you produce any support for your unsubstantiated views?

Word for today:-  subustiation (n) - the status of having either zero substantiation or having claimed substantiation blown to ribbons... see Longy

Not quite.

'Proposing an overhaul of key parts of the industrial relations system, including the creation of a standalone agency to police unions and employer groups, Mr Heydon also recommended civil and criminal charges against 45 people and companies.'

https://au.news.yahoo.com/thewest/wa/a/30463996/unions-louts-thugs-and-thieves-r...

So not just individual unionists but companies also. Some "witch-hunt".
