A butcher shop, web design business and DVD rental store were well alight when crews were called to extinguish the blaze at 84 Auburn Road late on Saturday night, a NSW Police spokeswoman said.

She would not comment on reports that the property belonged to the sister of controversial Auburn deputy mayor Salim Mehajer.

Fairfax Media reports that Khadijeh Mehajer, who is Salim's younger sister, suffered approximately $100,000 worth of damage to her property at 84 Auburn Road.

Nobody was inside the premises at the time.

NSW Police said they could not comment on who owned the property, because they were a victim of crime.

The deputy mayor rose to local fame
infamy
following his extravagant wedding that shut down streets in Auburn in August.

Don't rush to judgement, bruvvas... it has yet to be established how and who set the fire.... it could be one of his family's enemies..... or an insurance job... the time-honoured scorched earth policy when you want to develop a site......

Let's allow the fuzz to do their jobs.... I'm sure they'll turn up something and it will be all over the papers....

AN Auburn property bought by the Mehajer family for $801,000 in 2011 has gone up in flames for the second time in two years.

The commercial site, which caught fire shortly before midnight on Saturday, was also the target of a firebombing on June 7, 2014.

I was talking to my mate the other day and his good friend ( a neighbour) was leaving the Auburn area. His good friend was a Ned Flanders do-gooder type who always defended the local Lebbo community. The other day he told my mate " we are leaving for Coffs harbour, we've had it with the Lebbos". Another one of the white flight brigade leaving the suburbs of Sydney. The displaced caused by white idiots from other places.
