most likely true ... In Romania a duck apparently says  'muck muck' instead of 'quack quack'

their sound for a dogs bark was different to our too, but i don't remember it at the moment and wifey dearest is having a nap so I can't ask ... all I remember is that I fell down laughing hysterically when she first told me. Cheesy Cheesy

No need to throw teddy.  I can't work out why, if it is pronounced hum hum why it wouldn't be spelt hum hum, just like you did.
