She hasn't been found innocent any more than she's been found guilty - and for precisely the same reason: No concrete evidence either way.

She's been released until further notice. If others come forward to cite her as a lesbian paedophiliastophile - she'll be back in court in just the same way as Rolf Harris was brought back to court when an avalanche of other complainants came forward after the initial accusations by a solitary female.

A judge has upheld an appeal by Prisoner star Maggie Kirkpatrick against her conviction for molesting a vulnerable teenage girl more than 30 years ago.
County Court judge Geoffrey Chettle on Tuesday said while Kirkpatrick, 74 – who played lesbian prison officer Joan Ferguson, nicknamed "The Freak", on the popular 1980s TV show – might have sexually abused the 14-year-old fan in 1984, it could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.
Judge Chettle said there was no independent evidence to prove the allegations.

I like maggie and was shocked when this came out...how ever this is for those who like to split hairs and tell everyone they are right even when they are wrong... Roll Eyes

the child I believe was a wee bit disturbed...I am not sure...however I am glad its resolved...I am glad she didnt do time.. BUT... we must put the children first.

Very true, and that is one serious flaw in our legal system - we need findings of 'not proven' and 'innocent' - to do otherwise confuses the issue and no matter the proof, some will always screech 'guilty' unless absolutely told that 'innocent' is the correct term.

Those kinds are called 'yobs'....

In the event of a 'not proven' finding, the issue remains open for either side to renew the allegation upon further proof being found.
