He seems to be pro-Islamic

Reduce bombings from 1000/day to 20/day and often 80% of the plans coming back with their load intact because you can't bomb if you see women and children. So all ISIS has to do is put women and children around their headquarters

These are the same rules of engagement our military operates under. Are you saying Turnbull is pro Islamic?

This has been the Muslim strategy for twenty years, if you only consider the recent Holy War.

They do not form a military. They are armed civilians. All they have to do is hide their armament and walk away to avoid their enemy. Under the circumstance, when their women and children get caught up in this pointless Jihad, it is their doing.

The US is leading the war in Syria

Australia was asked to give aid to their efforts - not to lead it

Bush, Blair and Howard are responsible for the establishment of ISIS....Everything from here on in can be directly attributed to their stupidity and lies!!!

Huh Huh Huh

Your sort of prog can never decide whether they were idiots or evil geniuses who manipulated 1.6 billion Muslims plus the rest of the world.  If they were so stupid how could they fool the world?

No they were stupid and like most Conservatives you deny the truth....The rest of the world was not fooled by their bullshit which is why they did not join the Coalition and the UN refused to back the invasion....The only one who was fooled appears to be you!!!

And what does it say about Muslims who can be 'trickled' into becoming evil head hackers, rapists, slave traders and murderers by three fools in suits on the other side of the globe?  How could three fools rob those Muslims of all ability to self-determine their lives without turning into such monsters?  You must have a mindless theory for that too.

Yet you have concluded that one man sitting in a cave in Afghanistan can influence 1.6 billion Muslims and launch a terrorist attack on the most protected nation on earth....The 3 stooges did not need to influence Muslims they only needed to fool stupid people like you!!!

There were no WMD's in Iraq!!!
The evidence used to justify the WMD's in Iraq was fabricated by the US and its allies!!!
The US deposed the Government of Saddam Hussein who then all defected to form ISIS!!!
US biggest ally Saudi Arabia are up to their teeth in terrorism!!!
It is accepted wisdom that the US lead invasion of Iraq left a vacuum that ISIS filled!!!
When you attack a nation its people will fight back....This is called war!!!

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Get all the fools on your side and you can be elected to anything.

Setanta, I have to agree a bit.  Your job was to help students work thru their issues with IT.  Prayer alone might not do that.  You need to priortise your teaching technique to make it relevant to all students, most of which would not be practising Christians students (although they may consider themselves Christians -which is good of course).  Anyway, you need to exhibit tolerance and joy in teaching.  I'm not talking from the viewpoint of the village idiot - I have taught at university level.  But we need to think about all students, getting them aboard the learning train....and for Muslim students, getting them aboard as well, even if the have to cut loose of the dragging caboose lobotomy....to achieve a life of intellectual and personal freedom, and - of course - self-respect and dignity in a western world they, or their parents chose for them.  In a perfect world, they would realise there are other religions that may be suited to their personal thoughts and life philosophy.  Religions which will never pose no physical, ideological, or financial threats to modern Australia.  And that should always be encouraged.  IF they continue with Islam we can only hope they engage it, and us with tolerance that Mohammed was incapable of.  IF not than they wil be dealt with at some point.  My guess is that education and lifestyle will encourage young Muslims to stray to a life of tolerance and understanding.  But if petrodollars (especially Saudi) enforce a different path....than we are in trouble.  Muslims need to consider the future, their future.  And how they can continue to enjoy our way of life - with a stern religion which wants to destroy it.  It's up to them.  There are options, pleasant and unpleasant.

The 'Way of the Gun' is too deeply entrenched into American mainstream culture.

It would take a massive change of direction, in which Americans would be forced to embrace really tough Gun Laws.

I do not believe for one second that the Country is prepared to do that.

Any Politician peddling that line will quickly find themselves sidelined by the powerful gun lobby.

There will be many more tragedies surrounding extremists with guns and it won't be just Muslims who are to blame.
