The Auburn City Council Deputy Mayor is a case in point. Well integrated - but otherwise wants nothing to do with 'assimilation'. His wedding was a showcase of defiance against the local Australian culture.

Which brings us to 'multiculturalism', dear Mothra ...

What do you suppose that means?

It's our government telling our migrant community to by all means resist assimilation into the Australia Way, and we'll be satisfied if they only go so far as to integrate.

Yep, it's frustrating. They won't admit to reality. I live in Islamic Australia also Herbie. I don't see much assimilation at all.

sure, it will in all likelihood never happen to herb,
but lefties feel all this "compassion" for people in boats yet think the shooting up of disability centre full of fine citizens is , dare i say, to be treated flippantly, almost as if they cant feel any empathy with the panic these workers must have felt, but they can feel empathy with the panic of someone on a sinking boat.
