If guns were made illegal in the US, the prison population would increase by 25% and it would cost the government
billions to police the black-market, and the Bad Guys would always have access to fire arms no matter what the laws say about it.
What we
don't hear is how many people in the US save their lives and the lives of their families because they have a gun in the home.
33,000 Americans die by gun-fire each year, and it would be fair to say that a goodly percentage of this was innocent people defending themselves. The rest are criminals shooting criminals - a public service performed by the criminals themselves.
These small 'rampage' killings are nothing within the context of a nation of hundreds of millions of people.
