Then Malodorous wants to increase the GST and broaden the base. The original GST replaced various sales taxes and was still inflationary—a 1% spike some of you may remember.

If the GST is broadened the inflationary impact will be much larger because there are currently no taxes on food. Libs say they can offer compensation “just like for the Carbon Price” but are they going to triple the tax free threshold again? To $54,000? (3 x $18,000)

Next election will be won by Labor because the Libs cannot manage the economy.

The comment here, that Bill Shorten is 'as dumb as sh.t' is a standout. His performance against Turnbull, an erudite and intelligent man speaks volumes.

Quite frankly, Shorten is an embarrassment when he gets into a verbal duel with Turnbull. Even when Shorten has the benefit of facts on his side, he doesn't seem to be able to make any headway in the verbal duelling.
