This is the propaganda that exploits the concept known as Jevons Paradox.

Jevons Paradox says that the more efficiently a resource is used the more of that resource will be used. I told me dad it aint really a paradox and he reckons: nah, it's  what you call a so-called paradox.

..anyway, getting on with the hoo-ha:
