There would be no Muslim terrorism if the 'vast majority' was really against it.
I see, so, in other words the vast majority of Christians support Paedophiles being protected within their various church organisations then?
They do not.
There is a Royal Commission into institutional child abuse and the Church is not exempt. They had something similar in the US.
There is no Royal Commission looking into the connection between Muslims in Australia and Jihad around the world. That would be a very interesting enquiry.
But Muslims, unlike Christians, are untouchable.
The Royal Commission was forced onto these institutions because of their lack of transparency and their deliberate cover ups...
Yet, it all seemed to be common knowledge.
In short, not enough Christians openly speak up against their Church.....
The "vast majority" remained publicly silent, as such, it could easily be said that the minority were doing the dirty work of the silent majority...
The point being, we can easily alienate an entire religion, we can easily point the finger of guilt at ANY organised religion, but that will not ever solve the actual problems.
To be fair, I am playing devil's advocate here. It just seems patently stupid to me to hold an entire group to account for an unspecified minority. That just causes the exact kind of divisions in society that that unspecified minority want. As such, in effect, you're doing more of the terrorists work for them than the average Muslim who would no more strap a bomb to themselves than they would ignore you if you were hurt or in trouble...
I guess for me, I blame people and not books.
