howdy percy...I see you sent this thread to 'relationships'.. sadly I dont post in there anymore so that stopped my contribution...however said thread is now locked so neither can anyone else post there..

I just wish to say..

its sad when threads get posted there as there is a control person who insists on being... in control...of every thread.

so unless you post what he approves of you are either banished or the thread is locked...

would it be possible to move the unstable 'deckchairs' to a safer place in future where neither the poster nor the posts are harassed into submission...

Indeed. I might as well use this opportunity to pass on some useful information the general Membership will not be aware of ...... and as a result, they will make posts based on complete ignorance, and in some cases, an anxiety to have a go at someone doing a job.

Every Member Run Board Moderator (as well as the GMods) has a facility which allows them to see who is reading a Thread, and also, that same facility tells us who is preparing a reply to post.

After I had asked Karnel not to post ~ using that facility ~ I saw s/he was preparing a reply. So, to save them from themself, I locked the Thread, thus preventing them from becomming vulnerable to further adverse action.

When I returned to the Forum this morning, I unlocked the Thread.....as Karnel by then had been given plenty of time to avoid acting foolishly and in the heat of the moment.

It is there right before our eyes whenever we go to a Thread. It is an automatic, highly visible thing. It is a useful tool as I demonstrated last night by locking the Thread before Karnel made it worse for himself.

It is exactly the same thing you see on the main page when you log in, cods. Down the bottom, you will see a list of who is on line/logged in. This feature does the same. It tells 'us' who is 'logged in' to the Thread, and which of them is preparing a response. Nothing more.

Thats correct mods of members boards can only see who is there and who is preparing a response. Its like pissing in the wind. All aussie would be doing is getting excited about a pending post almost peeing his pants just so he could then tell the poster not to post there anymore. The only reason he can even do that is because freediver encourages the fool to run the ozpolitic trash can relationships. He cant even see IP addresses. Oh he can poo his pants and modify peoples posts so there is no point posting there anyways.

He is a nut and relies on freediver to can peoples asses if he can trick them into posting after he writes a banning posts.

The guy is nothing but a silly child cods.

A more accurate and truthful statement would be "so no one could post anything about else about me when I wasn't around to delete it I locked the thread when I went to bed".

It's probably like the chat function.

It tells you when the other person is typing but you can't read it until they send it to you.

I wouldn't worry too much, the government will have drones taking pics of your toilet habits soon, now that creeps me out.
