I think your definitions are too strict.
You can think what you want I don't care, they are not my definitions they are the doctrinal written clear definition in any quran you care to offer up. I make no interpretation. You had better contact the writer if you don't like them they are not my definitions.

People interpret these ancient books as they see fit.
Thats my whole point. In the case of the Qur'an the ones you call muslims that support your view would be simply wrong in assuming they were actually muslim. According to their own doctrine they assume they are part of.

But religion is more about visceral feeling than it is about learned behaviour.
I never said anything about learn behavior. Religion is about belief and spirituality.

I assure you my mother is a good Catholic woman, but i doubt she would agree with the way you conduct yourself, or almost anything you have said.
My conduct is sinful why would she agree with that. So is her conduct. If she would not agree with what I have just reiterated about the gospel she simply is NOT a christian. Feel free to think she is but I feel you don't speak for your mother actually. Secondly the fact she is a good Roman Catholic means squat. Roman Catholicism was created by Romans it is not the Holy Catholic church as mentioned in the bible. Do you seriously think the Pope is the Vicar of Christ and all those priests are meant to be celibate and then caving in to carnal desire. The Gold horded up in the vatican. Thats the most evil organization on the face of the earth along side islam. I wouldn't run around quoting the Roman Catholic Church so much if I were you.

You cannot claim somebody;s spirituality isn't what they say it is because it conflicts with your narrow view of what that spirituality is.
Correct, I use the doctrine they say they believe in to refute it. That way I don't have a narrow view but a rather accurate one.
