Your mother on the other hand if she believes the Gospel message and follows Christs instructions is a true Christian. If she just does good deeds based on the bible and rejects the gospel then she is just a good woman and not a Christian.

I think your definitions are too strict. People interpret these ancient books as they see fit. But religion is more about visceral feeling than it is about learned behaviour. At least i hope so for your sake.

You cannot claim somebody;s spirituality isn't what they say it is because it conflicts with your narrow view of what that spirituality is.

I am imposing nothing, nice try though. I am just stating what is the truth from islamic doctrine rather than what I perceive is the truth like you are trying to impose on others. Thats my whole point. In the case of the Qur'an the ones you call muslims that support your view would be simply wrong in assuming they were actually muslim. According to their own doctrine they assume they are part of.

Correct, I use the doctrine they say they believe in to refute it. That way I don't have a narrow view but a rather accurate one.

I am imposing nothing, nice try though. I am just stating what is the truth from islamic doctrine rather than what I perceive is the truth like you are trying to impose on others. I am happy to stick to the islamic doctrine, something you choose to ignore because it simply does not support your view.

My view is that there are numerous interpretations of the Qur'an. It i as open to interpretation as any of the old books.

There is no evidence of the existence of a muslim,mohammed,or quran until 60 years after mohammed was supposed to have died. Grin

Posting on islam just encourages them and is a waste of time.
