The child was crying, had her neck bent forward, and was sealed in an air-tight container.

It could have ended so badly.

Easy Honk - because for all the frothing at the mouth over this story, none of the above is mentioned.

The child did not suffocate, and did not suffer any injuries. If she did, we would obviously have heard about it. The man's lawyer stated that the ordeal lasted "a few seconds". The video shows the man walking down a small set of steps then the video ends. Its reasonable to assume the child was released at that point. When we look at all the frothing at the mouth over this incident, I don't see any mention of a) the child remaining in the bucket for any length of time or b) a passerby intervening and releasing the child against the wishes of the father. Again, if either of these happened, the mouth-frothers would obviously be all over it.

Smacking (aka physical beatings) causes actual pain and trauma to children - but we don't go around screaming that the perpetrators are scum that should be thrown in prison. Well mostly not anyway.

Let's put Gandalf in a bucket and close the lid. It's all good, isn't it?
