Don't you think your mistie obsession is careering a little out of control.
i think there is a lot of freudian stuff going on with the lefties attack on mistie.
their main problem is that mistie is very intelligent and fairly unflappable.
he tends not to get emotional .
this is a good rightard value.
its hard to be logical when you are always ruled by your emotional brain.
when training a horse, you have to realise they have a very big reactive (emotional) brain and quite small logical brain.
so they tend to display aggression, fear, anxiety, fight or flight very readily and you have to "dumb down" the lesson to teach them anything.
and you have to get them in logic mode by being totally unemotional.
if we look at lefties as a social group, we see this same over developed emotional reactive brain.
so lefties are ruled by anger, fear, anxiety , fight or flight.
mistie may well be able to teach them some lessons but it would require him to have them, one on one in a closed environment ( i use a round yard) and to just keep repeating the lesson over and over.
like emotional horses , they have short attention spans and a great deal of difficulty "thinking", they tend to just "react"
mistie does a good job trying with the lessons but it will never work over the internet. its a stimulus rich environment and they cant concentrate.
the other thing that is absolutely vital when teaching horses or lefties is that you MUST remove all other horses or lefties from the environment or they wont concentrate and they will focus on their herd and not on you.
the forum shows this over and over again. the lefties posting and being distracted by other lefties which just ruins the learning experience.
Full marks. Good work.
