What kind of stupidity is this?

When someone changes their name, all former posts as well as all quotes change to the new name. Any new people would only see the current name, and if they looked at old posts, they would still only see the current name even for posts made years ago under a former name. There is nothing for them to get confused over as the member name is linked to one member account.

Also, as the name changes for all posts at the same time, it is impossible for someone to agree with themselves just by changing their name. That is what the whole sock issue allows to do as some members have multiple accounts for that reason.

It would have been much easier to admit your sock accusation was wrong then to come up with BS about new members getting confused.

Yes. I was going to mention that but it seemed so obvious that I thought even fools like John Smith and Aussie could have worked it out. I was wrong, it seems.

I thought socks were separate accounts held by the same member and used to appear to be a different user. Changing names doesn't fit that.

I sense a purge coming on this forum....... especially among those who serially insult others and 'flame' and spam the forum up with personal insult and vilification.
