I haven't had a single Hallowe'en door-knock for years now. Worked like a charm.  Wink

At least I was a little more subtle than Peter who lives opposite me. His strategy was to open the door and roar out "F**K OFF!" in a deep baritone voice that even had me frightened ...

Is that the same one you use for flashing at the railway station Herbie?

Get some lollies and stop being the grinch that stole Halloween.

Did you ever see 'Never Take Sweets from a Stranger' - made in the UK in 1960?

It was a scary movie.

Yeah its getting a bit sick the old American Halloween rubbish. There is no need for kids to dress up like they are half dead and mangled. Nor any need for loving parents to encourage the Emo trait.

Not much intellect left with the stupidity I guess.

Well ... it's 6 O'Clock - and I've just been 'owned' by the nicest and sweetest bunch of kids you could ever find knocking at your door.

Beautifully mannered, very cleverly dressed and made up, and ... I gave them a handful of 5 cent pieces to sort out amongst themselves.

Umm ... yeah ...  Embarrassed

You can't live your life terrified that something terrible is going to happen. It is extremely unlikely that something terrible will happen.

Millions of people enjoy themselves on Halloween. What's the big deal?

Yep , not to mention the dead corpses that were strung up on the fence and people walked by thinking they were Halloween decorations until they started to stink.

Did you read that in the news ?

Why celebrate degradation its just plain sick to me and child abuse.
