This reminds me of that chick that blogged online claiming she beat cancer with some special diet I think it was. She went on for years and was eventually outed as a scammer too.

She never had cancer at all. Pretty weak. It was on a bigger scale than this guy, he probably just wants people to think he is special in some way. A lot of the time they were the second brother growing up missing all the attention. Something like that.
