Same old formula ... no surprises. All very routine. If you haven't seen it all before in a thousand different guises, then you've been asleep for the past 20 years.

The franchise has simply gone well past its Use By Date.

And how in God's name does an actor like Daniel Craig make millions simply by uttering the occasional monosyllabic sentence while not changing his dour expression for the entire length of each of his Bond films?

Half your luck if you can get yourself into a job like that. It's like winning the Irish Sweepstakes.

I swallowed a bad oyster today and it brought out the bile in me. I haven't seen this latest movie, but I'm sure it's a cracker, with plenty of action, lots of Geoffrey Edelsten-type 'Bond girls', and good baddies. Again, my apologies.
