Yet again, the conservatives have outfoxed the lefties.

People are very sensitive to a change in their "emotional state"

Abbott caused very negative emotions. he was a negative neurotic man.

BUT Malcolm is positive, confident and has an aura around  him.

This will be MULTIPLIED by the fact that he follows a "bad experience" for the electorate.

They will gravitate to Malcolms positve chi energy ,

Shorten is a negative neurotic as well.

So, by following abbott, the liberals master stroke should see them stay in power for a decade.

Even in his own personal defeat, Abbott has ensured the dynasty will rule and possibly for a much longer period of time.

Lefties have no idea how to play to an electorate that wants confident , alpha male leadership. Wink Wink Wink

Hence the doom and gloom out in the real world! You truly are a more on, Scoot, truly!

One of the things which could see Malcolm establish a real dynasty is that he follows the 2 worst PM's of all time.

If he can keep his emotions under control.
If he can keep that sneaky cunning street smart brain of his ticking over
He could easily rule for 3 terms.
People wont want to risk more Gillard, Rudd, Abbott types , who were fairly dysfunctional.

Looking good for the conservatives !!!!
thank you to the last 3 failures.

In terms of ranking failures, Abbott isn't nearly as bad a failure as Rudd or Gillard. they will hold top place for generations to come. I reckon that if Abbott had taken over with a budget in good condition, he'd have been able to implement the policies he truly wanted to and he'd have been a two or three term PM.

Are you still checking to see if your Aunt has testicles ?

Had Rudd not faced the GFC he may have been a 3 term PM as well, who knows but the evidence strongly suggests that you are incorrect.

Abbott had been in power during improving times and went quickly backward because of his own failures.

Mal has had an easy ride in life. Inherited money. Married money. Acts like he wants to be a lefty, bound by far right extremism. He comes against something difficult he will collapse. His sugar rush is 50:50, to peter out as people realise that his policies are not his own and are wrong for the times, for the country.

He's not my man.

I want Julia back.

Putting Shorten in as leader was a huge mistake.

Yeah, it's a good video.

Shot at my local markets (when I'm in Tassie).

They say it like it is down there.

0.33 says it best.

I very much doubt that - very much. Why? He was too much of an egomaniac. Even before his slide down the polls, the hinged door to the Prime Minister's suite at parliament house had been replaced with a revolving one. He just wasn't a people person and sucked at teamwork.

not to mention the Unions hated him...

very early on he signalled that he wasn't going to be a Union Mouthpiece ...

and from there the plotting started...

there was no need to piss cash down the drain during the minor GFC... china's growth rate was still booming and in any case...

when things get tight... you don't spend money like a drunken sailor... sending out cheques to dead people and filthy kiwi's living in NZ for forks sakes...  Roll Eyes

and the 60c feed in tariff when the selling rate was approx. 25c.. what???  Cheesy

I could go on but i'd be here all day..

Mal Fraser?  Cam from the Victorian landed gentry... silver spoon country....

Rudd married a woman with inside knowledge of the impending government coffers opening for childcare.... you don't imagine she simply hit upon a good line of profit from childcare, do you?  Both 'sides' of politics spread the largess of pending government funding around their mates.... just a little business venture that happens to fall their way.....

No cods

Mal’s father left him a substantial property portfolio. Lucy brought a lot of family money into the marriage.

Rudd’s wife wasn’t rich when he married her. She got rich by her own efforts (“nouveau riche parvenu” you can hear Libs who never did a thing sneer) but that was after she married Rudd. Rudd also got rich by his own efforts.

This is all easily found from the public record, cods! Try doing a bit of reading before posting absolute crap, eh?
