Australian workers will have their jobs threatened by cheap Chinese Labour influxing into our workforce. Why pay Australian Tradies top dollar when you can pay a Chinese import el cheapo rates?

That is the problem; we need Unions to protect the rights of workers, yet most Union leaders betray the workers, and use them only to get into politics and fill their pockets, at the expense of the average workers.
I once heard in a discussion; will the workers of most Asian countries soon reach the affluence of the Western workers; the answer from one discussion member was; no the Western workers will be brought down to the level of the Asian workers, and it is happening very fast.

Nothing here supports the contention that Hawke supports the China agreement, not saying he doesn't, I don't know but it isn't included in the words presented here one way or the other.
