I was in Vietnam in August, travelled from South to North.

Trains are not set up for wheel chairs. Many hotels are wheel chair friendly, you will find them on Agoda, Booking.com etc, but only the three star and above.

Vietnam consists of little alleyways, the paving is uneven and you take your life in your hands every time you cross the road in hcmc and Hanoi.

Personally, I think it would be a challenge.

You could always go to a resort and get taxis around, but it wouldn't be easy doing touristy things on your own.
