Don't really know German history very well pre 20th century. But given Germanic people didn't really have an extensive empire, didn't really partake in the slave trade, and from my own knowledge they were only conquered by the Romans, I'd suggest it was mainly the Germanic who built their own nation.

Pick up a history book Sparky, you may learn a thing or two. And perhaps you'll stop worrying so much about majorities and minorities.

What about India??

An interesting one indeed! Pre modern era India was a strong functioning civilisation that has been credited with the invention of zero, the decimal system, initial finding of the Pythagoras Theorem and initial philosophy around laws of Gravity and earth being round.

But modern India I'd argue was built by trade (off the back of poor Indians of course). For instance, the extensive rail tracks of India were built by the British, and have not been added to since! Most of Northern India has a strong British heritage when it comes to architecture and town layouts. Some of Southern India has Portuguese heritage. there are also towns with French influence.

What about israel?

One of the problems Trump has, not yet, but if he wins the nomination is finding a VP candidate who will be happy to campaign on his terms, brings some bonus points to the team, has nationwide recognition and appeal in the south, mid west and north east. And that's the easy bit.

None of the candidates still standing, even if they wanted it, would fit the bill. Kasich maybe but he wouldn't support Trump. So he has to go outside, maybe a senator with similar aims or a blast from the past. Huckabee maybee?

Illinois, 72 delegates, a solid lead in the 3 polls this month. The wins in NH and SC have to solidify his position. Winners gather support.

It really is phenomenal. It demonstrates a HUGE Silent Middle America that otherwise remains unnoticed and dormant.

But if you look at what he's said rationally rather than have a pre-menstrual Mrs Huffington rant, he isn't saying anything that all but the programmed progressive mind wouldn't agree with.

He's said about muslims, there is a threat here and we will have to put an import ban on that commodity until we can make sure it's safe for public consumption. All reasonable.

He's said about blacks, they should show more respect for the people who are trying to ensure law & order in the community.

He's said about Hispanics, they are coming across our border and nobody is stopping them. They are taking a lot of jobs from our own people and some of them are bringing in a lot of drugs and other things and I'm going to stop them. He's also said that he's not going to allow Mexico to become a centre for taking away American manufacturing jobs.

There's not much in all of that that any reasonably-minded people would object to. Of course reasonably-minded people are in short supply here and in most of the media.

As for muslims, it's worth noting that 3/4 of the people who went to the polls in South Carolina said that they supported Trump on that issue.

There are millions upon millions of registered voters that don't vote because they're sick to death of the same type of politicians running on both sides, election cycle in, election cycle out.

No matter who wins nothing really new happens, so they stay home & go about life.

Obama only won by a few million votes over Romney.

You think that base, especially blacks who actually lost ground under Obama, will be all fired up to vote again?

Maybe they'll stay home this time, let the white folk duke it out, while the disenchanted non-voters of yesteryear show up in droves to cast their vote for this new, brash, political nonconformist, breath of fresh air!

Which brings me to another point.
If Trump gets to be nominee - Hillary will be nominee, the fix is in - there are a lot of people in the military and some in the administration who hate Hillary

Very damaging information is going to fall into Trump's lap and he will use it. Hillary's reputation, what's left of it, is going to be gutted, skinned and hung up to dry
