So what I can't understand is, why did they give him their votes in Ohio, knowing that it couldn't make a difference? I understand why he hasnt dropped out of the race - the 66 delegates he pulled today are 66 not going to Trump. He'll probably drop out tomorrow, his race is run. (Trump was in 2nd with 3x more votes than 3rd place cruz) But there were 850,000 votes for a guy who had no chance at all - who are these people?

Clinton is the lesser of two evils, in this case.
