I will probably give it a go.. I do like the cooking shows...although at the same time they annoy the heck out of me.. for instance.. masterchef  Marco whom I could tip a bucket over said he likes his food hot.. yet after every test they have wall to wall mess and by the time they take their food up to the judges the place is clean as a whistle... and the food must be dead cold... I feel cheated somehow...I make a terrible mess when I cook..and it doesnt go away in a flash. and I cant stand cold food either.

I have to admit that it is definitely a My Kitchen Rules takeoff.  Channel 9 must be totally bereft of new ideas.

Channel 9 also tried to cash in on 7's popularity when The Block lost ratings due to their pandering that that idiotic Dee and Darren duo.  So they made a new show and poached teams that had previously competed in 7's My House Rules.  Poor form IMO.

They need to come up with fresh ideas and stop trying to swing off the success of Channel 7 shows.

Having said that I tried the new 7 show Restaurant Revolution and wasn't impressed so I am now trying out this Hotplate.  The contestants are a bunch of w a n k e r s but I like the Frenchman and his son.  The gay guys are so up themselves I wonder if they can cook   Grin

Why do these shows think that their ratings will be better if they recruit douches?

Well they sure did crash and burn.  Most people do when they talk themselves up too much.

The salmon and risotto looked gag worthy.

hilarious...  Grin

never over sell yourself in that situation as you'll come crashing down on your face...

it was telling when they were looking for stuff, the apricots, and they had to ring the "chef" to see where they were.. and he knew exactly where they were...

there wasn't any.. he knew off the top of his head...

I have no doubt that they have a good restaurant...

but its the people who are working "for them" who are making it what it is...

those two clowns were hopeless...  Grin

The verdict will be handed down tomorrow on Hotplate.   I wonder what will happen?

It looks like Channel 7 is admitting their Restaurant Revolution is a dud too and replacing Tuesday's prime slot with cat videos instead.  LOL.

I am watching it but I think its more for the people than anything to do with the food....its weird really.. restaurant owners and they dont like any of the food its "not to my palate"......right but thats everything...lol...

but yes dont we all want the gay pair to flop badly....

I do wonder if they are all really restaurant owners.. the last pair Loz and Nolly..a seafood restaurant and she had never cooked prawns before.... Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I can smell fake...

I quite like the other show..but the format is confusing...they seem to be crowding too much in the one program..as they are all new at the game they should be doing more to teach them .. rather than criticise  them as if they are  a two hat restaurant...

one thing about these shows.. theres no cars being blown up and no rolling around in beds...which kind of gets.. tiresome... well its even in the ads.. Sad Sad

7 lost the first stage they wanted the show taken off the air.. but the judge said no....didnt understand the reason why....but dont think its over..maybe channel 7 didnt copyright it..

just about everything with Neil Perry in it fails..

I think that there's a decision today on the two shows...

with the 9 show I guess i'm watching it more for the people... they've been hilarious..

I couldn't wait to see the gays fail due to their bagging of other teams... they've been shown up for the little they do in the kitchen.. from cooking to ordering food etc...

but I do like them on the show as that little blondie headed guy has great one liner insults...  Grin

"this looks like a menu from the cafeteria of the United Nations"  Grin

or

"this room as more plastic in it than on Pamela Anderson"  Grin
